Various countries are gathering in Lithuania for military drill which involves the Air Force of such countries. Such infrastructure development has made Amari Airbase capable of holding more than its actual capacity.

Recent Developments Near The Russian Border

Such Developments have taken place because of the various Aerial Clashes over the Black Sea. Ever since the invasion ,the 'clashes' , have only intensified. Earlier this week a Russian fighter jet came dangerously close to a polish aircraft over the Black Sea. According to the Polish government a Russian Su-35 fighter jet engaged in aggressive and dangerous maneuvers within 15 feet range of the polish plane. These action resulted in loss of various lives of Polish Crew. Various other incidents have also happened where US pilots have also witnessed the invasion of of the airspace of a sovereign country by Russian aircrafts. The recent recent incident involving the  Polish aircraft aligns with a pattern of actions by Russian pilots in the Black Sea and other regions, which US military officials have classified as "dangerous".

Russian Su-35

In March, a Russian Su-27 fighter aircraft sprayed fuel and intentionally struck a US MQ-9 Reaper drone flying over the Black Sea, resulting in it's crash. In 2022, a Russian fighter jet fired a missile at a manned British spy aircraft flying over the Black Sea. According to a recently leaked classified US Intelligence report, the munition malfunctioned, saving a potentially disastrous outcome.

According to two US defence sources, the Russian pilot misread a message from a radar operator on the ground, believing he had gotten the authority to fire. However, due to a malfunction the  missile did not launch as planned.

The new occurrence is reminiscent of a sad tale from the cold war era, such as the incident from the Korean Airlines Flight 007. During that time, Soviet fighter jets were quickly dispatched to intercept an aircraft they suspect of posing a threat.
